Sojourner's Journey

In this project, I explored the experiences of Chinese international students in London, trying to understand how they define their identity, their sense of belonging, and their conception of 'home' in this global city.

 



For this project, each student accompanied me on a walk to areas in London they often go to or feel particularly connected to. Our shared journeys and the conversations that unfolded during these walks created the foundation of my work. Each personal narrative delicately intertwines with the broader narrative of the city. Through every environmental portrait, I aimed to capture the essence of their unique experiences and how they relate to this sprawling metropolis.
