Wang Mei

"Wang Mei" (Imaging Plums) is an idea taken from the Chinese idiom "Wang Mei Zhi Ke" (望梅止渴), which translates to quenching one's thirst by envisioning plums. In this context, plums symbolize imagined objects that fulfill human needs, similar to the plants in this project, which are like apparitions tied to humanity.

This project explores everyday human-plant interactions, setting up unusual scenarios that mimic the symbiosis between man and plants,aims to highlight the dichotomy between plants as visionary symbols and operational tools within human society.
